Short Summary: Get up early to take an awesome boat ride on the famous Red River. See a dam and some temples along the way, and the Bat Trang Craft Village. Watch all the different activities that happen on the river.

Itinerary: Get up early because we will pick you up at 07:30 for the ride from the hotel over to the boat which is waiting for us. For the first half of the trip we head downriver. There is a dam which we will visit, and a temple called the Dai Lo temple. After getting back on the boat we keep heading downriver, southeast towards the sea. We reach another temple called the Chu Dong Tu temple. After you’ve taken in the Chu Dong temple and are back on board, we will turn around and head upriver, which will give you a break from the sun. We stop at Bat Trang Craft Village, where distinctive ceramics have been made for 500 years. The vitality of this village is still “fired” by the hundreds of pottery kilns running day and night. We stroll around various cottage industries and watch craftsmen forming, painting and glazing their products in traditional ways. We head back to Hanoi, saying goodbye to the captain.
