Night 1: Ha Noi – Lao Cai
7:30pm – Minibus pick up from the hotel and transfer to Tran Quy Cap train station.

8:30pm – Train departs for Lao Cai. Travel time approx 9hrs.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa (B, L, D)
6.00am Our guide will meet you at the Lao Cai train station, from there you will depart for Sapa by minibus (1hr). Arriving in Sapa mid – morning, you'll check into the hotel, have breakfast and a shower, then have some time to recover from the trip and have a look around.

12:00pm - Lunch at the hotel.

1.00pm - Our guide will take you to visit two Black H'mong villages and a waterfall. In the villages you'll have a chance to visit with a couple local families and observe their daily life. At the waterfall you'll see the hydroelectric power station built by the French. Then we'll head back to Sapa for dinner. In the evening, you're free to do as you wish, you can explore the town of Sapa, and we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market (only on Saturday night).

Day 2: Sapa – Hanoi (B, L, D)
7.00am - After breakfast in your hotel, our guide will take you to two more villages, one a H'mong and the other a Dzao (Lao Chai village and Ta Van village)

11.00am - Have lunch with an ethnic minority family (food provided by the hotel) then return to your hotel in Lao Cai.

5:00pm - Leave your hotel and go back to the Lao Cai Station by minibus. Once at the station you will eat dinner in one of the restaurants there.

7:30pm - The night train departs for Hanoi.

5:00am (the following morning) - Arrive back at the train station in Hanoi.

The trip officially ends after you finish dinner, so you will need to get on the train by yourself and then get back to the hotel (by taxi) by yourself. If you would like us to arrange a taxi for you at the train station we can do that for you, but it will be an extra charge. When returning to the hotel by taxi, you may have to negotiate a price before getting in, you should not pay more than 50,000 for the taxi. The price will be for the car, NOT per person!
